2:54 – The March

2:54 are a duo from London. They make filthy, haunting pop music with a dark and gloomy slant. Their debut album, ‘2:54’ is released on May 28th 2012 and, based on the two singles we’re heard so far it’s set to be a cracker.

As well as the two singles, ‘You’re Early’ and ‘Creeping’, 2:54 have also uploaded a few extra tracks from the album recording sessions to their soundcloud as a further taste of what to expect. ‘The March’ is one of these tracks, and it sets the bar for the album pretty damn high. A looping drum beat provides the backbone of the song which is lifted into the extraordinary by the fantastic and elegant harmonies. It’s an intricate and knotted slice of fantasticly bleak pop.

To celebrate the release of their debut, 2:54 will play an instore at Rough Trade East, London on May 31st as well as their biggest headline show on June 7th at London’s Scala.

The March.
