Pure Love – Handsome Devil’s Club

Pure Love are a rock band featuring ex-gallow Frank Carter and ex-Hope Conspiracy/The Suicide File Jim Carroll. They’ve both moved away from their background in hardcore music and are now making brilliant straight up rock music. If you’re a fan of The Gaslight Anthem, then you should really check Pure Love out.

Pure Love’s debut single, Bury My Bones, is available as a free download from their website while their second, Handsome Devil’s Club, is released on July 23rd 2012. Both tracks sound awesome and I eagerly await their debut album which is slated for release later this year. Pure Love are just starting to announce some live dates, including a support slot at Biffy Clyro’s comeback gig tomorrow night in Swindon as well as slots at Bilbao BBK and the Reading and Leeds festivals.

Handsome Devil’s Club is an absolutely fantastic song. It’s refreshing to hear a song that sounds so vibrant, yet is a through and through classic rock song at the same time. The hook of the song is as catchy as anything you’ll hear today and the energy is phenomenal. With Frank famed for his onstage intensity this song should be an complete beast live.
