The Safety Fire – Huge Hammers

The Safety Fire are a five piece progressive metal band from London whose intricate musical styling’s contrast brilliantly with the brash and encumbered vocals.

The Safety Fire released their debut album ‘Grind The Ocean’ in February 2012 and will be on tour for most of the Autumn supporting Between The Buried and Me and Periphery in the UK and Europe. They’re also playing at this years Hevy fest and are on the bill for Converse’s Represent show at London’s 100 Club. Playing alongside them are Overkill, Pulled Apart By Horses and Wet Nuns and tickets are free. Enter here for your chance to win tickets to see this incredible lineup of bands on August 9th 2012.

The first single to be taken from ‘Grind The Ocean’ was Huge Hammers. Huge Hammers is a killer track which is almost exclusively made from heavy and reverberating riffs. Screaming vocals and complex breakdowns give the song a real edge that’s so often missing at the heavier end of the musical scale. Huge Hammers is a glorious, grandiose track that’s an intelligent monstrosity of awesome and is a perfect example of what The Safety Fire do. If you like this song, make sure you check out the rest of the album as it’s very much more of the same brilliance.
