In conclusion The 2000 Trees Festival 2012 was fucking incredible. The sound at every stage was brilliant, which in itself is an amazing achievement considering nature was not on side for the weekend. Many larger festivals struggle to get the sound right and it’s such a crucial part of the live music environment that it’s embarrassing, but 2000 Trees nailed it on each and every performance. The atmosphere was stunning, everyone was there to watch bands and have a good time, as opposed to getting drunk and burning stuff. The weather was shit, yes, but the site was tweaked and the problems caused by all the rain were handled excellently.

All in all 2000 Trees was amazing and when tickets go on sale for next years event in Feburary, I will be first in line to purchase one. It’s easy to see why the same bands and people want to come back year after year. The people behind 2000 Trees have created something very special at Upcote farm and the hard work and dedication that must go into creating and running the festival is certainly appreciated by me, and the 4999 other people that spent a wet but enjoyable weekend in a field in July.

Great music, great people, great food and a great setup. What a phenomenally awesome festival.

If you enjoy the music at 2000 Trees then check this site out from time to time as I strive to bring you the best new music, and if you like what I post here then look at 2000 Trees next year.
