Mallory Knox – Lighthouse

Virginia Woolf ruined lighthouses with that book but Mallory Knox are here to make them wholesome again.

Lighthouse, the third single from their upcoming debut album, Signals, is a fluid entwined mass of heady British bite. Encompassing and spirited lyrics are delivered with pomp and substance while the unwavering blend of instruments underwrites the whole glorious affair with knowing style.

After years of sculpted international rock being polished, packaged and force-fed across the UK, 2013 looks to be the year where honest home-grown rock undergoes a resurgence. Mallory Knox are one of the bands who make this possible; their songs inclusive yet personal, carefully crafted to support but also tear away with dark abandon.
