Filligar – Hexagon

Filligar – Hexagon

Despite being such a wildly diverse country, American music is immediately recognisable. Hexagon, the fifth album from Chicago four-piece Filligar, stands tall despite this sweeping generalisation.

Oozing the dream, Filligar glance sideways at their countrymen before heading into the sunset with their own mind. New Local marches with the gritty brotherhood that once drove Kings Of Leon while Culture Bleach has the Hollywood strut that made the world fall for Red Hot Chilli Peppers.

Across Hexagon, there’s a romantic balance of grand city skylines, sweeping country and blissful warmth. There’s youthful hope and there’s certain glory. For once, God bless.
