Live. Layers

Live. Layers
Sunday 25th May, The Old Blue Last

‘Enchanting stage presence, even when stage absence.’

Last years self-titled EP saw Layers square off against alienation in an explosive swing of melody and rhythm. Tonight, the four-piece find themselves in a room of like-minded individuals, rallying for acceptance.
With front man, Lance Joseph, finding the pull of the crowd to tempting to resist, and sonic self-belief backed by a soulful crunch, Layers sit at the heavier end of the Brit-rock scene. But tonight, the band belongs to us.
They play, we marvel.
Concluding with a gorgeous slash crushing rendition of Gradually, the room huddles closely under one umbrella. All together now. “Don’t change who you are.”
